Young Agents Announce Recipients of Big Event Scholarship

This was the first year that YAC initiated a scholarship for Big Event. In October the committee awarded out 3 full conference registrations so that three young insurance professionals could attend MAIA’s premier conference and trade show.

Boosting involvement of young agents at the association is central to the mission of the Young Agents Committee, and the Big Event is a perfect opportunity to participate. With so much to gain from this industry conference, the YAC really wants to see more young agents take advantage of this event. With that in mind, we thought we could break down part of the financial barrier of attendance with this scholarship.

MAIA’s Young Agents are proud to announce the Big Event Scholarship Recipients.

Congratulations tonull
Latora Godbolt of Ormsby Insurance

nullPaul Ostrander of KW Insurance

Jessica Walsh of Homer T. Brown Insurance

Latora had the dual honor of being awarded a registration and being a finalist for the CSR Star Contest. As a Customer Service Rep in the Western part of the state, she was really looking forward to experiencing all the Big Event had to offer.

Paul and Jessica went for Maximum Value and used their full registrations to take the entire CPIA designation with Bruce Thomas while in Boston. Both were spotted in the packed VP Suite for Young Agents Rocking Reception on Thursday night. And, you may have seen them both interviewed in The Standard this month. They provided some fantastic insights about what make their careers interesting and worthwhile.

Were you at the Big Event with us? Check out the photos and  #BigEvent14 social media updates. Hopefully we’ll see you there next year.
